Ingredients

<ul><li>1 cup rolled barley (or instant oatmeal)</li><li>¼ cup dates</li><li>2 cups water</li><li>1 tsp sesame oil</li></ul>

Cooking Instructions

<p>Mix this shit in a glass bowl. Microwave it for 2-5 minutes (barley
takes longer than instant oatmeal), until it thickens. Let it continue
to set for about half an hour, until it’s really pretty globby. Grease a
cookie sheet (or foil on a cookie sheet if you’re smart) and drop globs
of barley goo on it. Should make 8-10. Bake for ~30 minutes @
350F/180C, until the outside is relatively firm and brown, and they peel
off the foil fairly easily. Let cool for about five minutes so you
don’t set your face on fire trying to eat them.</p>
