Ingredients
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 tablespoon Sugar (granulated)
- 2 Eggs (yolk)
- 7/8 cup Milk
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 Eggs (white)
- 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
Cooking Instructions
* Flour should be 1c + 1T cake flour
* Yes, that's two eggs separated, but the original lists egg whites and egg yolks separately
Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks. Beat. Add flour and milk alternately. This may be done at any time. When ready to bake, fold in egg whites, and add baking powder.
Mixture should be thick and fluffy.
Bake and serve with hot maple syrup and melted butter.
