Description

Because everyone needs more pub toast in their lives

Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices of bread
  • 2 potatoes, shredded and fried (potato pancakes will also work)
  • ½ large tomato, diced
  • ½ medium onion, slivered
  • 3-4 brown mushrooms, sliced
  • 1c white gravy
  • 1/2c shredded cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, however you like your bacon

Cooking Instructions

Sauté onions and mushrooms in the leftover potato frying grease. Lightly toast the bread. Slather it with half the gravy. Layer bacon, then potatoes, then veg, then more gravy, then cheese. Melt cheese however suits. However tempted you may be to pick this up like a slice of pizza, I strongly advise approaching it with a fork, unless you are dead sure of the structural integrity of your bread.
