Tim Walz's New Ulm Hotdish

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg bratwurst
  • 1 bottle of beer (Schell's if you can get it)
  • 1 onion
  • 1tsp garlic powder
  • 1c chopped celery
  • 1 can cream of cheddar soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2c milk
  • 1c shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 pkg tater tots (WHAT FUCKIGN SIZE, TIM???)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Bring pot of water to boil
  2. Add beer, onion, and garlic powder
  3. Submerge brats into the pot and reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes
  4. Remove and let cool
  5. Butter a casserole dish
  6. Mix remaining ingredients except tater tots in a separate bowl
  7. Chop brats and mix into bowl
  8. Pour mixture into casserole dish, top with tater tots, and bake for 1h at 350F/180C
  9. Sprinkle with cheese for the last 10-15m of baking
