Watergate Salad

Description

It's green. It's lumpy. It's delicious.

Ingredients

  • a FOUR serving box of pistachio instant pudding
  • a ~450g tin of crushed pineapple
  • a tub of Cool Whip
  • 1/2c shredded coconut
  • crushed pecans, maybe honey roasted (some)
  • about 1/2c of mini marshmallows

Everything that isn't pudding, cool whip, and pineapple is optional. Some people use other nuts. Some people put maraschino cherries in it.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Mix the pudding into the pineapple juice first
  2. Add half the Cool Whip and stir until the colour evens out
  3. Add the marshmallows and mix thoroughly
  4. Add the rest of the Cool Whip, the pineapple, the coconut, and the nuts. Mix until you've got something like an even distribution of green colour and lumpy bits.
  5. Stick it in the fridge for a few hours. Overnight is better.
  6. Put some more pecans on top before serving.
