Personality

Idril is typically very quiet, though this is not due to being shy. She has an incredible intellect, and sits back to analyze every situation, even in emergencies. In fact, were she to be in a house fire, she would stand still for a bit while figuring out the best escape route. this lends her a sort of courage usually reserved for the oblivious, though it's really only because she can't be bothered to be scared. she's too busy thinking things through.

She can get emotional, but it's not very often, and usually only happens for two things. She gets *very* upset if someone is actively cruel for no reason to a creature and she witnesses the act."Upset" in this instance can be read as "murderously enraged". Also, she has a full range of emotions in the extreme circumstances that she is allowed to read a book to her heart's content. This doesn't happen often, as she is usually being interrupted for some responsibility or another, which leads to irritation.

She is very friendly towards small children, and any canine, but otherwise is a bit standoffish. Mostly, this is attributed to her being a mage.

Background

The Elanesse family of wild elves is a bit more bookish than any of the others in their race, for very select reasons. Idril and her father, Kilreyn, have an ongoing study of lycanthropy, and her brothers, while rangers, make it there solemn duty to protect innocents from werewolves like themselves.

That's right, the entire family is a nest of bloody wild elf werewolves. Kilreyn Elanesse was unfortunate enough to have bitten his wife, the cleric of Kafziel, Eryla, and both he and their three children are all natural-born lycanthropes. While her father is bordering on obsession for a cure to the affliction they bestow on others, if only for the benefit of his wife, Idril herself has decided she would rather increase public awareness of the curse, and remind people that, while transformed, non-natural lycanthropes are still the people they once were, just as a child possessed by a demon is still a child somewhere in their soul.

This is causing some difficulties, mostly due to the fact that Idril has a slight dislike of being run through with sharpened silver, so progress is slow. As with everything she does, Idril is very thorough in making sure that a group is ready to know that she's a werewolf before she actually reveals this information. (For example, the party has no bloody idea!)
