Personality

Kaliei is outright obsessed with the idea of becoming the Master Assassin of Hantoli Liyusu, and the obsession makes him constantly paranoid about being attacked by other members of his family. However, the paranoia works to his advantage, as it's nigh unto impossible to sneak up on him. On the down side, the Liyusu keeps a close eye on him, because his loyalty is second to his obsession, and they dislike the idea of having too loose a cannon on staff. Thankfully, he has yet to realise that Iblis, God of Assassins, will not favour his endeavours, and that he is, in fact, being tempted and misled for the amusement of the God of Massacres.

Background

Kaliei grew up between Shibin Ei and Moghendhim, with only the vaguest memories of his oldest brother Suhenka. In fact, as he grew older, he became convinced that since no one in the family discussed Suhenka, the eldest must be dead, and the only thing standing between him and being the First Son -- usually the Master Assassin of a Liyusu -- was Shibin Ei.

Late one night, Kaliei caught his brother in the bath and slit Shibin's neck, leaving him to bleed out beside the water. Much to his lasting chagrin, after the funeral, one of his older cousins was named as the successor to the Master Assassin, since Kaliei lacked the finesse and mental stability for the position. To this day, he trains and practises, waiting for the day that he can defeat his cousin and take what he thinks is rightfully his.
