The corridors' primary function is to connect the three other sections of the station. Being centrally located, they are also ideally suited to contain community facilities.

Medical Centers

The station's medical facilities contain state of the art nanotech-based medical technology. The centers are fully equipped to handle any medical procedure from long term care to emergencies. The station's low gravity environment is especially suited to the treatment of certain degenerative diseases, such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. In fact, terrestrial patients are often transferred to our facilities for treatment and therapy.

Postal Relay Stations

The postal relay stations will only handle packages, as letters can be more cheaply transmitted electronically, and cargo can be shipped inside the station or to terrestrial destinations. Shipping charges will be assessed per kilogram and all packages will be scanned for dangerous materials. The postal system is entirely automated, and delivers to a box within the home.

Station security is responsible for dealing with criminal activity and all manner of day to day social problems. This includes everything from murder to cats in trees. The security personnel are divided into two groups, detectives, who handle complaints, and technicians, who process data. Dining Facilities

The dining facilities aboard the station are always open and incorporate replication technology, which enables rapid production of any cuisine. While replicators are provided in the residences, residents are highly encouraged to partake in communal dining at 08:00, 13:00, 18:00, and a coffee hour at 22:00. A variety of seating arrangements are available ranging from traditional dining room tables to couches, booths, and coffeetables. There is a small stage available for amateur performance between 21:00 and 23:00.
